Inuit Nunaat fund is an organization that helps award grants to those persuiing Inuit self-determination. They needed a robuts online platform where they can spread their message, the importance of what they do, and help deliver money into the hands of organizations helping their people.
Creating a system for education, information and grant application
The Inuit Nunaat Fund has an interesting goal. They need a website that fully articulates who they are and who they support. Their goal was to provide information on Inuit culture, what self-determination actually is, and how they support it. Our objective was to create them a digital system so they could update their website easily, rapidly create new pages and link it all together with their systems for reviewing grant submissions and awarding funds.
An illustrated brand
The brand was created by Inuit artists and brought to us for web application. It features illustration, traditional patterns and a wide image bank of photography showing Inuit life.
Creating a site based on culture and community
We worked with an Inuit branding design team to create a site that reflected Inuit culture. Our goal was to deliver a lot of information in a way that's easy to read and navigate, while representing the Inuit people and their way of life accuratly. Representing the Inuit, the site is translated into Inuktitut and Kalaallisut and uses geolocation to set the language to make sure that anyone seeking to better their people can accomplish this.
